About

This blog’s mission is to bring together in one handy resource all the inventions of the English. I will be trying to document all of the English’s inventions at the rate of one per day.

If you have any suggestions  for English inventions not yet included please feel free to submit them.

LARD is quite obviously an English invention. Had it been invented anywhere else it would not possibly have been called LARD. It would have been called Larde, Lardus or Lar or something like that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lard

And don’t forget Lant – another defining milestone in British invention. Using stale urine for cleaning, cooking and explosives is enough to inspire many more generations of fine Englishmen to visit their garden sheds for a spot of inventing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lant

Would you be interested in seeing a copy of our new book Inventors & Inventions for research purposes and perhaps a cheeky mention?
    Email me if so.
    Thanks

    a) toast-related comestibles
    b) self-deprecation
    c) horse massage.
